Some heavy snow showers brought a quick coating - 2" to parts of Schuylkill and Lehigh county as a narrow band slowly moved through earlier Thursday evening. Slippery conditions will continue to affect those areas overnight.

Tonight: Patchy clouds and frigid; a lingering snow shower in spots. Low: 3

Frigid conditions will be the big story overnight with low temperatures plummet into the lower single digits once again. Friday will be another very cold day with highs holding in the middle teens despite sunny to partly cloudy skies overhead.

Friday: Sunny to partly cloudy and bitterly cold. High: 16 Low: 12

Temperatures are expected to climb into the upper 20s to near 30 degrees for Saturday, but another clipper system will quickly slide through the area bringing our highs back into the teens by Sunday. This storm system will also push a bit of snow into the area on Saturday with the possibility for an inch or two of accumulation.

Sunday and Monday also has a chance at some snow. Stay tuned as the cold and clipper season continues on.
