Plenty of sunshine will dominate across the area today along with milder conditions as highs climb into the middle and upper 40s.

Our next storm system is expected to bring us mostly cloudy skies on Sunday along with periods of rain, which may be heavy at times in the afternoon and evening hours. High temperatures will top out in the lower 40s on Sunday.

Most locations may pick up around 1-2 inches of rain before the storm quickly exits the area early Sunday night, watch for some minor flooding to occur in spots. Brisk and chilly conditions will take over on Monday with high temperatures topping out in the middle 30s despite a mix of clouds and sunshine overhead.

Some colder air will make its way into the region by the New Year causing temperatures to hold in the upper 20s to low 30s for the remainder of the week.
