Record warmth Sunday

Today: Record warmth with a couples showers and periods of rain; a rumble of thunder possible. High: 65

Tonight: Unseasonably mild with a couple of showers. Low: 53

Monday: Mainly cloudy and mild with periods of rain, mainly early in the day. High: 55 Low: 26

Shortly after midnight the record highs for this date had fallen in Reading and Philadelphia. By the end of the day those cities won't be alone as highs soar into the mid and upper 60s possibly low 70s.

Along with the warmth, the region experience a few showers and maybe even a period of rain throughout the day, but it won't be non-stop.

On Monday the front that will bring the rain to the area this weekend will be draped over the East Coast allowing one more batch of rain to ride into the area before the front exits to the east. Otherwise, look for the temperatures on Monday to hang in the 50s and upper 40s until the front passes, at which point they will drop off fairly rapid.
