A fast moving area of low pressure brought a good amount of snow to the region on Tuesday. Accumulation amounts range quite a bit across the viewing area with our southern locations picking up the most snow (lighter amounts to the north/northwest). An average of 3-6" fell for most of the area with 1-3" further to the north/northwest. Dry conditions have taken over behind the storm system leaving us with mainly clear skies for the rest of the overnight hours. Temperatures overnight will plummet into the middle teens as some very cold air settles into the region. This will cause any slushy snow or wet surfaces on roads, driveways, and sidewalks to freeze overnight, so watch for some slick spots. Mostly sunny skies and cold conditions will be featured from Wednesday through Friday with highs topping out in the middle and upper 20s.
