Local Forecast Discussion

Today: Becoming mostly cloudy with some snow west later this afternoon High: 32

Tonight: Cloudy with a little snow; a coating to an inch or so by dawn. Low: 26

Friday: A period of snow early; increasingly windy with clouds and breaks of sun (temps fall PM). High: 33 Low: 8

After some sunshine this morning the clouds will increase this afternoon out ahead of a clipper system. High temperatures will top out in the lower 30s this afternoon. Look for some snow to move in late this afternoon into the evening and then last into early Friday morning. While this may affect the evening commute for some, most will be home by the time the snow starts falling. By Friday morning most locations will pick up an inch or so of snow with two or three inches possible in the Poconos and some higher elevations. Slick conditions can occur later tonight and early Friday in some locations, so be on the lookout. After a period of snow early Friday we will see temperatures fall off during the afternoon into the 20s as the winds pick up and the clouds start to clear. This will set the region up for a sunny, but cold and windy Saturday with highs only reach the lower and middle 20s and feel like temps staying in the teens and single digits. We're still keeping our eyes on a storm late Sunday into Monday, but the trend over the last 24 hours has been to take it farther south. Either way we'll keep you posted on what we expect over the next couple days.
