Local Forecast Discussion

Tonight: Partly cloudy and cold with less wind. Current records 8 ABE (1950) & 9 RDG (2009) Low: 10

Tuesday: Some sun fading behind increasing clouds; snow is likely late afternoon, then snow/sleet at night.  A coating - 2 inches (please see map) expected (more north/less south). Slick spots are likely on area roads. Some patchy fog possible Tuesday night as well. High: 29 Low: 27

Overnight, under partly cloudy skies, temperatures will approach record setting low temperatures.

A cold and cloudy start to the day tomorrow, with thicken clouds and eventually some snow likely arriving in the mid-late afternoon and early evening (2-5 pm). The storm will start as snow before transitioning to snow/sleet/freezing rain at night (possibly just plain rain overnight).  Total accumulation of a coating up to 2" of snow and ice are likely (more to the north, less to the south). We'll continue to monitor the details of that system, so stay tuned for the very latest.

Temperatures will hit the upper 40s on Wednesday. Some rain and drizzle is expected Wednesday. As colder air wraps back into our area, we expect the rain changing back freezing rain, sleet and eventually snow Wednesday night into Thursday. There is potential for accumulating snow ending by early afternoon Thursday.
