Local Forecast Discussion

Tonight: Mainly clear with near record cold. Low: 28

Saturday: Sunny to partly cloudy. High: 60

Saturday Night: Some clouds. Low: 36

***Freeze Warning for most of the viewing area tonight into Saturday morning***

***Frost Advisory for Delaware and Philadelphia counties tonight into Saturday morning***

Tonight temperatures will drop to around or just below freezing under mainly clear skies. Lows will fall into the low 30s and upper 20s and challenge record lows (Allentown - 27, Reading - 31). Sensitive plants and crops could be affected, so get them covered if you can.

On Saturday look for the clouds to slowly increase from sunny to partly cloudy skies (more clouds to the south) throughout the day as an area of low pressure passing to the south Saturday night approaches the Middle Atlantic states. Highs on Saturday will be near 60 degrees. Saturday night into Sunday morning the aforementioned low passing to our south may brush us with a few showers. However those showers will mainly stay south and southwest of Allentown. Sunday will then feature partly sunny skies with high temperatures once again be in the vicinity of 60 degrees.
