Local Forecast Discussion

Tonight: Partly cloudy with patchy late-night fog. Low: 39

Friday: Clouds and sunshine with a nice breeze; patchy fog in the morning. High: 62

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy and mild. Low: 45

Tonight lows will fall to around 40 degrees under partly cloudy skies. Some patchy late-night fog may develop, so keep an eye out for that if you plan on doing any early morning shopping.

On Friday, the clouds will increase through the day as a cold front approaches from the west. The front will eventually bring some rain to the area, but that won't occur until late Friday night into Saturday. That means the day will be dry as that front helps to push record-challenging warmth into the region. Temperatures on Friday will touch the low 60s, which means they're going to challenge the record high of 62 degrees in Allentown.

Saturday will start out with a bit of rain with clouds, but the rain will slide off to the south as we move through Saturday afternoon and evening. Highs on Saturday will still be above average as the reach into the low and mid 50s, but of course that's nowhere near the warmth we'll experience on Friday. While most of Sunday is expected to be dry that rain will be situated just to our south. Therefore, a shower or two sneaking north throughout the day (especially for southern PA and NJ) isn't out of the question. Otherwise, look for highs to fall back into the upper 40s under mostly cloudy skies.
