Local Forecast Discussion

Tonight: Mainly clear and comfortable. Low: 59

Tuesday: Mostly sunny and pleasantly warm. High: 85

Tuesday Night: Clear to partly cloudy. Low: 63

After a warm, but sunny and dry weekend the area experienced another day with a good amount of sunshine and temperatures near 90 degrees on Monday. Unfortunately, Allentown failed to reach 90 degrees for a fourth day in a row so the heat wave ends at 3 days. Tonight will remain comfortable as temperatures fall to around 60 degrees under mainly clear skies.

Tuesday will feature plenty of sunshine yet again. Meanwhile, temperatures will top out in the mid 80s with dew points that remain manageable. On Wednesday an approaching cold front will cause the dew points to jump in the mid and upper 60s and the cloud cover to increase a bit. Highs on Wednesday will be near 90 degrees yet again. That front may also bring a shower or thunderstorm to the area by the end of the day, but it's more likely we see them overnight into Thursday morning.

In the wake of that front, high pressure will build in again as daytime return to the more seasonable low 80s and 70s on Thursday and Friday. Those temperatures will be accompanied by low humidity levels and a decent amount of sunshine, especially on Friday.
