***Winter Storm Warning for Montgomery, Chester, New Castle, Bucks and Philadelphia Counties from 10 AM this morning to 4 AM Monday morning***
***Winter Weather Advisory for the entire area from 10 AM this morning to 4 AM Monday morning***

Snow overspreading the area for the rest of the afternoon from west to east. Could be some steadier and a bit heavier snow at times. The snow will continue into the evening and overnight period at which time some mixing will sleet and freezing rain is possible, especially south of the Lehigh Valley. Areas around Philadelphia have the highest freezing rain with ice accumulation potential. North of the Lehigh Valley it will be almost all snow for the entire event. When the precipitation comes to an end around midnight Sunday into Monday the snow/ice accumulations will be around 2-4" of snow for most of the viewing area. Southern Berks and south of the Lehigh Valley 1-2" is possible with northern Pennsylvania entering the 4, 5 and 6 inch range. (see map below). Totals will be dependent on the duration and how fast we mix with ice/rain. We'll continue to monitor the details of that system, so stay tuned for the very latest.

On Monday highs will top out near 40 degrees as the clouds give way to some sunshine. Keep mind though that even with the precipitation ending by daybreak on Monday there will still be some slick spots on area roadways for the Monday morning commute. Tuesday into Wednesday we are watching our next storm system, which could bring icy conditions once again.
