Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a shower or thunderstorm around; humid. Low: 68 Thursday: Spotty shower early, turning out partly sunny and less humid. High: 81 Low: 59 Showers and thunderstorms pushed through the area during the afternoon and evening hours on Wednesday as a cold front approached from the west. Some of the thunderstorms were on the strong to severe side with drenching downpours, gusty winds, lots of lightning and a bit of hail. Mostly cloudy skies will be featured for the rest of the overnight alonf with a shower or thunderstorm possible at times. It will also remain rather muggy overnight with low temperatures holding in the upper 60s and lower 70s. A spotty shower can't be ruled out on Thursday morning (mainly south and east of the Lehigh Valley) before the cold front exits off to the east. Behind the cold front, some cooler and drier air will quickly sink into the region dropping our dew points and causing skies to become partly sunny on Thursday afternoon. Despite some sunshine returning to the area we will only see our temperatures rebounding into the lower 80s on Thursday. Friday is expected to be a pleasant day with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid 80s.
