Local Forecast Discussion

Today: Mostly cloudy, windy and cooler with rain at times (steadiest/heaviest south of the Lehigh Valley). High: 65

Tonight: Breezy with periods of rain (flooding is possible, especially south). Low: 54

Friday: Windy with on-and-off rain and drizzle. High: 64 Low: 56

After some rain pushed in to some areas later on Wednesday, we'll continue to see rain at times today. It will be rather cloudy and windy as high temperatures only reach the mid 60s. There may be another more active period of rain later tonight into Friday, but things are expected to taper back again Friday afternoon and evening. By that time, the heaviest rain will be behind us with rainfall totals ranging from .50" or less in parts of the area to 2" or more in others. The most likely locations for those heavier rainfalls totals will be south and west of the Lehigh Valley. Aside from the rain, the winds will remain strong on Friday as highs again remain in the mid 60s.

While there will still be showers around over the weekend, the frequency of those showers will continue to diminish. There will be a couple of showers around on Saturday, but the shower activity will be more scattered on Sunday. Rainfall totals over the weekend will generally be less than .25". Highs on Saturday will stay in the 60s, but we should pop back into the 70s by Sunday.
