Local Forecast Discussion

After a pleasant Thursday, today will be a bit more unsettled. An area of low pressure riding up the coast is expected to increase the clouds and bring a few showers to the area today. However, as we get into the afternoon and evening, a cold front will trigger some showers and thunderstorms. Those storms may be a little strong in some areas too, so please be cautious. Primary concerns would be for potentially damaging winds or even some hail. Any activity will taper off tonight as we see some clearing behind the front. Highs today will top out in the low 80s with lows tonight falling back near 60 degrees.

The weekend is looking very pleasant at this point with a good deal of sunshine and highs in the 80s both Saturday and Sunday.  Monday looks mainly dry with a mix of clouds and sun, but we're watching the potential for a shower or thunderstorm later Monday night.  It will depend how far north a boundary to our south sets up, but at this point, any activity may hold off until after fireworks displays. Stay tuned for updates.
