***EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FOR THE GREATER PHILADELPHIA AREA THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON***

***HEAT ADISORY IN EFFECT FOR PARTS OF SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA AND MOST OF NEW JERSEY FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH MONDAY EVENING***

With the heat this weekend, make sure you are staying hydrated, wearing light clothing and staying in air conditioned areas. Please take care of pets and check on children and the elders. The UV index this weekend will also remain high so try to stay out of direct sun, frequently apply sunscreen and wear sunglasses and a hat.

Today is another mostly sunny day as high temperatures reach the mid 90s. The record for ABE is 95 degrees (set in 1999) and 96 degrees for RDG (set in 2010), so we could tie these records. Skies continue to stay clear to partly cloudy overnight with temperatures only dropping to the lower 70s. There also could be a stray shower or t-storm in spots this evening, but for the most part, most will stay dry.

The heat sticks around for the week, so expect highs to soar into the 90s. Monday will be especially humid with a shower or thunderstorm later in the day. Any storm could be locally heavy and gusty. The greater Philadelphia area may be feeling like 100 to 105 during the afternoon and the rest of the area may be feeling close to 100 degrees.

But the rest of the week is looking partly to mostly sunny for now. Our next below 90 degree day may be on Friday and into next weekend.
