Temperatures remain very warm today and Friday as highs top out in the upper 80s, but there will be more humidity than Wednesday so it won't feel as comfortable. Thursday and Friday will also feature a mixture of clouds and sunshine along with afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. This summer-like pattern continues into the weekend with warm temperatures and afternoon shower/t-storm potential.

Memorial Day at this point will have some sun along with a shower or thunderstorm possible. High temperatures for the holiday will fall back into the mid and upper 70s.

As we finish up the month of May and start June it is important to know that June 1st marks the first day of Hurricane season. Some of the models are still hinting at some possible tropical development near the Bahamas over the weekend and into next week. The National Hurricane Center in Miami says there is a medium chance of tropical development within the next 5 days. The areas of concern this holiday weekend stretch from Delaware beaches to northern Florida beaches with gusty winds and rough surf all a threat along with rain.
