A storm system will be approaching as precipitation will start spreading into the area late tonight into tomorrow morning. At the onset of this event, there may be a period of time where parts of the viewing area, especially Poconos, will experience freezing rain and icy conditions before temperatures rise and change the precipitation over to plain rain. Watch for slippery or icy travel, especially late tonight and early tomorrow morning.

Once the changeover to rain occurs, that's what we'll experience for the remainder of the event, which will continue through Tuesday as high temperatures reach the upper 40s. The rain could become heavy at times and there may be areas of fog around.

There will be some leftover rain Wednesday morning, otherwise it will be mostly cloudy with temperatures spiking into the upper 50s. It will turn much colder and windier at night with some snow possible Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

Thursday and Friday will be much colder with high temperatures in the low to mid 30s.
