Spring-like weather will continue to dominate our weather headlines through Tuesday. Expect mild temperatures soaring into the upper 50s and lower 60s under partly sunny skies. The warmest day of the year (so far) was January 11th, when the thermometer reached 61 degrees. A storm system will affect the region beginning Wednesday with rain arriving during the morning and becoming steadier during the afternoon. An inch to an inch and a half of precipitation is expected with this storm. As sharply colder air moves in Wednesday night, the rain can change to snow with a small accumulation (coating -2") possible (for complete list of probabilities please watch 69 News and the AccuWeather Channel). Note: Some models have the rain just ending before changing to snow. Still, with the very cold air moving in, slick spots are possible late Wednesday night and Thursday morning whether the precip ends as rain or a period of snow.
