Overnight: Some rain from Bonnie (potential for drenching downpours). Low: 66
Memorial Day (Monday): Rain from Bonnie in the morning; mostly cloudy in the afternoon with a shower/t-storm (watch for flooding early). High: 76
Monday Night: Mild with a thunderstorm in spots in the evening, then clouds breaking Low: 62
We've seen a hot and humid weekend and we mainly stayed dry on Sunday, but as tropical moisture from Bonnie surges northward, we are expecting some heavy rain into Monday morning. Any drenching downpours could lead to flash flooding overnight, so be careful if you are traveling. Do not try to drive through flooded roadways. Lows tonight will remain mild as temperatures fall into the mid 60s.
Memorial Day Monday will have some rain in the morning. The rain can be heavy at times causing some localized flooding, but it should taper off during the afternoon. However, with daytime heating, the late afternoon and evening could feature a pop-up shower or thunderstorm until a front swings through and clears us out. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies with seasonable highs in the mid to upper 70s. It should still be humid despite not being as hot, and if the rain moves out sooner to allow for more sunshine, temperatures may be warmer.
Behind that cold front late Monday into Tuesday, we will see dry conditions with lower humidity for the middle of the week. Temperatures will be warm with highs in the 80s under plenty of sunshine before a cooler and unsettled pattern arrives by next weekend.
