Today will be the last of the 90 degree days until possibly next week. Along with today's heat, look for the dew points to start creeping back up again. This afternoon will mark the return of a few showers and thunderstorms to the area. Those showers and thunderstorms will then continue overnight and into Friday.
On Friday the showers and thunderstorms will be around throughout the day, but it does appear as if the morning may be the most active time period of the day. Generally speaking it looks like rainfall totals through Friday will be around an inch, with near two inches in spots. Along with the showers and thunderstorms on Friday, the clouds will win out most of the day, keeping highs in the upper 70s to low 80s with humid conditions.
Highs this weekend will also be in the 80s with humid conditions and some rain. The later part of the day Saturday will present the best chance for a shower or thunderstorm, but on Sunday the activity could come at any time during the day.
