A little sunshine was filtering through the clouds Thursday morning, but the clouds quickly lowered and then this afternoon the rain moved in. The rain (and at times drizzle) will continue on-and-off overnight as temperatures fall into the low 40s. When it's not raining we can expect cloudy skies.
Not much from tonight will change as we move into the day on Friday. The area will continue to deal with occasional rain and drizzle, especially during the afternoon, before the rain finally tapers off Friday evening. By that point most locations will have received anywhere from .1" to .5" of rain with locally higher amounts possible. Highs on Friday will once again be on the chilly side of average as they only reach the mid 50s.
The weekend will start out drier and milder with highs back into the low 60s on Saturday. However, rain moves right back in on Sunday as highs fall into the upper 50s. This unsettled weather pattern sticks with us into next week, so the threat for rain doesn't look like it's going anywhere anytime soon.
