Another brisk and chilly day on Saturday

Snow, sleet and rain move in Sunday afternoon

TONIGHT: Becoming partly cloudy, brisk and cold; a flurry or snow shower around early. Low: 24

SATURDAY: Brisk and cold despite a good deal of sunshine; a snow shower is possible, especially north. High: 36

SATURDAY NIGHT: Increasing clouds. Low: 22

Friday was a chilly and windy day with feels like temps in the 20s and teens most of the day, even though daytime highs extended into the mid and upper 30s. There were also a few flurries and snow showers around on Friday, but as the winds diminish a bit overnight look for those to retreat back towards the Great Lakes. Otherwise, tonight will feature partly cloudy skies and chilly conditions as lows fall into the mid 20s. While the winds won't be as strong, even a little wind will push the feels like temps into the teens.

Saturday will still be windy, brisk and cold as highs only climb into the mid 30s. While Saturday will feature some sunshine, there could also still be a stray snow shower, especially to the north.

Sunday will be less windy, but still cold with highs in the mid 30s. Clouds will increase and thicken throughout the day as the next area of low pressure approaches from the west. By the end of the day, a little light snow is possible (especially north and west of Allentown), but there's a much better chance to see some snow, sleet and rain Sunday night and into the day on Monday. The mix is expected to transition over to all rain, but before that happens areas south and southeast of the Allentown and Reading could pick up a coating to 1" of snow and ice, areas north and northwest of Allentown and Reading and into the Poconos may receive 1" to 3" and the highest elevations of northern Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey could get into the 3" to 6" range (refer to map above for specifics). The transition to all rain will begin overnight Sunday in southern parts of the viewing area and then gradually work its way north. By late morning on Monday everyone will be experience rain with temperatures above 32 degrees. The rain will then taper off from west to east Monday afternoon. Highs on Monday will reach the mid 40s.
