  • Dollar General to opens new cold storage facility in Schuylkill County, creating 100 jobs

  • Salon Expressions at 4873 Perkiomen Avenue in Exeter Township to hold first anniversary celebration on May 18
  • AGreen Studios will hold a grand opening/ribbon cutting on Friday, June 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. It will take place at 1840 Route 209 in Brodheadsville. The company offers a method of coping through chronic pain with the art of painting.
  • Bulldog Liquidators will hold a grand opening in Brodheadsville on Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. It will take place at 526 Marion Lane.
  • Traditional Home Health Care, an in-home care company, will hold a ribbon cutting and grand opening on May 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 175 East Brown Street, Suite 103 in East Stroudsburg.
  • Lehigh Valley Health Network opens ExpressCARE in Pottsville, Schuylkill County. The urgent care facility is located at 200 Schuylkill Medical Plaza and is open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. every day of the year.
  • New Giant Food Store to open May 17 at 300 South Best Avenue in Walnutport
  • Cantelmi's Hardware sold its Forks Township location to Rocky's Ace Hardware, a chain of hardware stores in New England, Florida, and Pennsylvania.
  • St. Luke's opens walk-in care center in Macungie. St. Luke's Care Now opened April 29 at the St. Luke's Health Center-Macungie, 2550 Route 100.
  • Gap at the Berkshire Mall will close in late-May. The location will be the site of the annual Berks Book Bonanza in July.
  • Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Center set for site of old Tot Time Daycare at 2901 South Pike Avenue in Salisbury Township
  • Habaneros Mexican Grill now open at 3104 Hamilton Boulevard in South Whitehall Township
  • Clove Fine Indian Cuisine to hold ribbon-cutting at its new location in Bethlehem Township on April 15 at 11:30 a.m. The restaurant is located at 4202 William Penn Highway.
  • LVHN to open two new ExpressCARE locations in Carbon County. Facilities at 363 North First Street in Lehighton and 528 Delaware Avenue in Palmerton are expected to open late summer 2019
  • Action Karate opens doors at 3690 Lehigh Street in Whitehall Township
  • Thriveworks, a national counseling chain with over 70 locations, has opened a practice in Bethlehem, Pa.

Business Matters with Tony Iannelli, is the region's only local business show on commercial television. Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce President, Tony Iannelli, hosts this weekly program that airs Monday's at 7:30pm on WFMZ-Ch. 69. WFMZ reaches 2.7 million cable, satellite, and over air with antenna households from Hazelton to the Jersey Shore. Business Matters is a half-hour interview show that gets inside the minds of business and community leaders to talk about their successes and challenges, as well as regional public policy issues and world trends. Topics range from legislation affecting the business community (right to work; immigration, prevailing wage...) to community at large issues (gun rights, school vouchers, taxes...). The show has 4 panelists representing two sides of an issue. One-on-One programs with VIP's include U.S. Senators Bob Casey and Pat Toomey, US Secretaries Hillary Clinton, Ray Lahood and PA Governor Tom Corbett...just to name a few!
