The initial reviews are in for the Downtown Allentown Market. It's the Queen City's newest dining jewel.
The 12,000-square-foot space features eight restaurants.
It can all be a little overwhelming for Keith and Linda Lenhart of Macungie.
"We are trying to decide. it's really difficult. I just got a coffee to sit back and chill," Linda said.
However, options aren't a problem for Mike Pierce.
"I wish it was bigger. I wish they had more things but it's a start," he said.
For area salon owner Tia Jones, the market fills not only a retail void along the ArtsWalk but a dining one too.
"This is exciting I've been down here for about two years and I'm kind of sick of eating the same thing. Nice to literally have this less than a block away," she said.
The market is not only selling food but alcohol as well. That is a big draw for Caitlyn Cavanaugh.
"I'm excited to try the alcohol shakes," she said.
The market is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and is open until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
