EASTON, Pa. - The show must go on.

The live broadcast of the Freddy Awards that so many high school students look forward to all year had to be canceled because of the coronavirus.

But there will be a special that celebrates the class of 2020, after all. Organizers say it won't be as grand as the show we're used to seeing at Easton's State Theatre. No awards will be given.

But organizers hope it will capture that Freddy's spirit that's so infectious.

The show will air right here on WFMZ on May 21 at 7 p.m.

Organizers are still offering applications for Scholarships & Community Awards to students and schools. $200,000 in awards are available. People can go the Freddy Awards website for more information on awards and for a list of the show's sponsors.
