HARRISBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania health officials are reporting 822 new COVID-19 cases on Monday.
That ups the statewide total to 63,056, according to the health department.
There were also 87 more virus-related deaths reported, making the death toll 4,505.
Of those, 3,086, about 69%, were residents in nursing or personal care homes, officials said.
More than 277,000 people in Pennsylvania have tested negative for coronavirus.
As of Monday, 37 counties are in the yellow phase of reopening, and 12 more will move to the yellow phase on Friday, May 22. Carbon County is part of the latter group, and will be the first in the WFMZ viewing area to move to the yellow phase. All of the Lehigh Valley and Berks County remain in the red phase, with a stay-at-home order in place through June 4.
