TRENTON, N.J. - New Jersey's unemployment benefits website is back up and running after it crashed.

The state's labor department says the system that processes benefits was offline for much of Sunday and overnight before it was restored Monday morning.

Many applicants were unable to certify their benefits during the outage, so the labor department says it's extending the system's hours this week to help those people.

No word yet on what caused the outage.
