PHILADELPHIA - Emmy Award season is upon us.

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced Wednesday night the nominees for its 2020 awards, which recognize excellence in television news, programming and individual achievement in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

69-WFMZ-TV congratulates its team of journalists for being nominated by their peers for 14 awards. They are:

69-WFMZ-TV also congratulates ASR Media Productions and eMediaWorks for their Emmy Award nominations.

ASR Media's "The Peak TV" series was nominated in the magazine program/special category. The series airs on Channel 69 on Mondays at 6:30 p.m.

eMediaWorks received a nomination in the public/current/community affairs - program/special category for "Give Me Shelter: Perspectives on Youth Violence," which was broadcast on 69-WFMZ-TV.

The NATAS chapter said it received 743 entries in 78 categories, of which 348 entries received nominations.

"Even during trying times throughout the past year, television broadcast professionals in the Mid-Atlantic Chapter have continued to strive for excellence as they work to communicate with their audiences," said Eric Heisler, the chapter's president. "This year's list of nominees for regional Emmy Awards is further proof of their commitment to excellence for the communities they serve."

The 38th annual Emmy Awards will be presented virtually on Sept. 19.
