BOSTON (AP) — Basketball Hall of Famer Bill Russell will be offering hundreds of items at auction from his personal collection of memorabilia. They include trophies, rings, basketballs, jerseys, letters and photos. The items span his 13-year career as a player and coach for the Boston Celtics and also feature keepsakes that chronicle his work during the civil rights movement. The highlights of the trove include the first and last of the NBA-record 11 championship rings he won in Boston, four of his five MVP trophies and his 1956 U.S. Olympic gold medal.
