Alvernia students try new foods at Chef's Table


A new program at Alvernia University in Reading allows students to try new foods that could be served on campus.

The first Chef's Table event took place in the student center.

An executive chef prepared a risotto dish for students to try. He also walked them through how to make the dish, showing off local ingredients he used.

University officials said they will use feedback from students to create new menus for the dining halls.
