Rita's extends fundraiser for victims of fatal crash in NC

An event paid tribute to three members of a Berks County family who were killed in a car crash in North Carolina.

A "Celebration of Life" for the Dawson family was held Saturday afternoon at Union Jack's on the Manatawny in Douglass Township.

The Exeter Township family was involved in a head-on crash on Highway 109 in Davidson County, North Carolina, on August 4.

Bryan Dawson, 48, and his 17-year-old son, Garhett, died in the crash. Daughter Kylie, 20, died a few days later.

Bryan's wife and the kids' mother, Melissa, was hurt, but she survived.
