READING, Pa. - You may not want his help with picking out your Christmas tree or decorating your house for the holidays, but what's the harm in spending an evening with Clark Griswold?
Chevy Chase, the actor who brought that memorable character to life in several "Vacation" movies, will be riding the family truckster into Reading next month.
The Santander Performing Arts Center will present "An Evening with Chevy Chase" on Saturday, November 16, at 7:30 p.m.
Chase will no doubt light up the stage with stories about his career as a comedic actor and the making of his classic movies, including the National Lampoon series.
The question-and-answer session with the audience will follow a 30th anniversary screening of "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation."
"Nobody's walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas," Chase's character said in the movie. "No, no. We're all in this together."
Tickets for the show will go on sale to the general public next Friday, October 11, at 10 a.m. at the Santander Arena's box office on Penn Street and through Ticketmaster. A limited number of VIP tickets will include a post-show photo with Chase.
"Remember, don't try this at home kids; I am a professional. Later dudes."
