CUMRU TWP., Pa. - A dry cleaning business ravaged by a fire in Berks County earlier this year is back open.

Supreme Cleaners on Lancaster Avenue in Cumru Township held a grand reopening on Saturday to celebrate its rebuilt business.

In January, a candle left burning inside an apartment above the cleaners sparked a fire that caused heavy damage.

Fortunately, the woman who lived in the apartment was able to get out uninjured, and crews managed to salvage most of the clothes inside Supreme Cleaners.

"We are incredibly appreciative of the emergency personnel who saved the majority of the building and the clients' clothing," said district manager Missy Steber. "We are incredibly grateful to our employees who have worked extra hard through this whole process."

Workers with the business said the store is fully operational.
