RICHMOND TWP., Pa. - Berks County's largest employer is also one of Pennsylvania's best, according to Forbes.
The magazine said it partnered with media research company Statista to identify employers liked best by the people who work for them.
They created a list for all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and Richmond Township-based East Penn, with 10,500 employees, came in 65th out of 100 on Pennsylvania's list.
It's the only company headquartered in Berks County to make the list.
The top 10 on Pennsylvania's list are Carnegie Mellon University in Pitttsbugh (#1), the Federal Reserve System (#2), Hershey's (#3), Penn Medicine in Philadelphia (#4), the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) (#5), Teleflex (#6), Prudential Financial (#7), SAP (#8), Apple (#9), and Hilton (#10).
Forbes said it compiled the results by surveying 80,000 people who work for businesses with at least 500 employees. The surveys were conducted on a rolling bases from October 2019 to May 2020.
