The Humane Society of Berks County has unveiled its expanded veterinary hospital.
The organization held an open house at its Humane Veterinary Hospital on North 11th Street in Reading on Wednesday.
The hospital has new treatment rooms, more intake areas, and the ability to provide more services.
Money for the work came from a $3-million grant provided by The Giorgio Foundation.
The Humane Society said its next project is to renovate the animal shelter across the street. Officials said they hope to break ground this summer.
