The head of the Pennsylvania's state university system visited Berks County on Friday.
Daniel Greenstein, the chancellor of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, met with students and staff at Kutztown University.
Greenstein, the former director of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, offered a brief presentation before taking questions from the audience.
Kutztown was the first stop on Greenstein's tour of all 14 state-owned universities in Pennsylvania.
Greenstein took over as the system's fifth chancellor in September 2018. Since then, he has vowed to improve and even overhaul the state university system as it deals with rising costs and declining enrollment.
