Kutztown University campus entrance

MAXATAWNY TWP., Pa. - Just a week after move-in day, a Kutztown University student has tested positive for COVID-19.

In an email to students and staff, the university said it learned of the positive case Thursday. It said the student lives on campus, and close contacts have been notified.

The university said it's sanitizing all known areas where the student was on campus. It's also in contact with the state Department of Health to monitor the situation.

Students began moving back to campus last Thursday.
