EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - Two people have been charged in the theft of a trailer in Berks County.

The Monroe County district attorney announced Friday charges that include theft by unlawful taking of movable property and receiving stolen property against Philip Marshall Castner and Jennifer Ann Amella.

Castner, 37, of Bath, Northampton County, was already in jail on unrelated charges; Amella, 40, of East Stroudsburg, Monroe County, is still at large, authorities said.

The trailer, valued at approximately $4,500, was stolen from the rear of a business on Old Route 22 in Greenwich Township sometime between the evening of Sun., Nov. 3 and Mon., Nov. 4, according to the theft report filed with state police.

The trailer contained power equipment, tools, and working material worth approximately $2,500, police said.

On the afternoon of Nov. 4, state police said they responded to the report of a wanted person, identified as Amella, staying at a campground in Middle Smithfield Township, Monroe County. There, they reported finding the stolen trailer and a camper, which had been reported stolen in York County.

The district attorney's office said it expects additional arrests to be made in the case.
