GREENWICH TWP., Pa. – Traffic was backed up for miles for several hours Wednesday night after a bad crash in Greenwich Township in eastern Berks County.

Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash, including commercial trucks.

It happened around 5 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 78. Exit 29 to Hamburg was shut down. The highway reopened around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

Officials say at least one person was entrapped, and multiple people were treated for injuries.

There were no reports of any deaths.
