A Reading man is in trouble with the law, accused of playing his own, potentially dangerous game of red light, green light.
City police detectives said a Facebook live video emailed to them on July 2 has led them to arrest Isael Perez-Lopez on charges of disorderly conduct and interfering with devices, signs or signals.
The video, streamed live on Perez-Lopez's Facebook account, shows him tampering with the traffic signals at Schuylkill Avenue and Buttonwood Street, according to court documents released Tuesday.
Perez-Lopez, police said, accessed the traffic controls switch through an unlocked control box, turned all the traffic lights off, turned them on flash, and then changed them from red to green and green to red.
At the same time, Perez-Lopez yelled at drivers as they passed through the busy intersection and others who were in the area to "watch this," police said.
Perez-Lopez, 30, was freed on $5,000 unsecured bail.
