Police: NY man found selling fake goods at Green Dragon

A vendor at the Green Dragon is out of business, accused of selling fake merchandise at the farmers market in Lancaster County.

The Ephrata Police Department announced Monday the arrest of Ndiaye L. Serignel following a complaint they received from Louis Vuitton.

A representative of the high-end fashion brand reported that counterfeit merchandise bearing the Vuitton name was being sold in bulk by two vendors at the market.

Police said they confirmed the company's account on Friday and seized more than 500 counterfeit purses and other items made to resemble merchandise distributed by Vuitton.

Serignel, 50, of Staten Island, was charged with trademark counterfeiting and freed on $10,000 bail. Police said they expect to charge the second vendor in the coming weeks.
