BERKS CO., Pa. - The Berks County District Attorney's Office says a fourth suspect has been arrested as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation called "Operation Trapped."

The DA says 39-year-old Fidel Yamil Ruiz of Temple has been arrested and charged with possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine and fentanyl, delivery of methamphetamine and fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl, dealing in unlawful proceeds, and criminal conspiracy.

Ruiz was apprehended at his residence Friday at 7:30 a.m. and was transported to the Berks County Central Processing Center.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Oct. 18.

Ruiz was wanted in connection with the drug investigation "Operation Trapped," which began in late April and took close to five months because detectives had to do extensive surveillance.

Berks County District Attorney John Adams said, "the total street value of these drugs was over $1.2 million."
