Money cash generic

READING, Pa. | Part-time city employees in Reading are going to be making more money by the hour, city officials say.

City Council voted on Monday night to raise the minimum wage for those workers to $15 an hour.

The city has about 66 part-time employees, and the pay increase will reportedly be retroactive to January 1st.

The wage increase will not include crossing guards however, because they already have an agreement with the school district, officials announced.
