WEST READING, Pa. - Reading Hospital is recognizing its most recent interns.

Tower Health officials congratulated the students during a ceremony Thursday.

The interns, all high school seniors, spent 300 hours in areas ranging from nursing to radiation oncology and genetic counseling.

The hospital says this is the first year that the program was open to all school districts in Berks County.

Officials say that boosted the enrollment from eight to 30.
