EAST LAMPETER TWP., Pa. - The search for a missing Amish teenager in Lancaster County is now entering its second week, as the FBI joins in.

"This has gone from a local to a multi-county (search) and even outside of Pennsylvania now," said Lt. Matthew Hess, East Lampeter Township Police Department.

Linda Stoltzfoos, 18, was last seen about noon on June 21, Father's Day, according to police, who said she left church and was headed to a separate church event, but she never got there or returned home.

Hess explained Stoltzfoos was walking alone down a secluded Stumptown Road in East Lampeter, near the Upper Leacock Township border.

Hess said officials have thoroughly searched the road and surrounding areas using horses, K9s, ATVs, scuba divers and drones. At this point, police said that they do not believe Stoltzfoos ran away.

"We're are trying to get her information, what she looks like, her descriptors, out to surrounding counties as well," Hess said.

Officials said Stoltzfoos didn't have access to electronics or social media, which complicates the investigation.

People near the road where she disappeared said they are in shock and heartbroken for the family. Hess said the community is reeling.

"They are torn up," he said. "The whole East Lampeter, Upper Leacock Township community, and Lancaster."

Police are asking anyone who may know anything to reach out.

"There are sometimes people who heard something or saw something that they thought was insignificant," Hess said, "but it could actually be helpful."
