READING, Pa. - The Santander Arena in Reading once again hosted a rally by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, this one held just hours before voters head to the polls in the hotly contested battleground state.
Supporters could be seen lined up before the doors opened Monday, waiting in long lines to get a seat inside.
"Awesome. I'm looking forward to it," said Jim McGeorge from the Poconos.
Security remained tight outside the arena and protesters could be seen behind police barricades not far from the venue.
"We woke up early to be here so it's great," said Joshua Carter from Oklahoma City.
"The last four-and-a-half years has been pretty messed up. Inflation and economy and stuff. I think Trump's policies is really good," said supporter Genesis Carpio of Reading.
The "Team Trump Women's Tour" fired up the crowd outside before the doors opened.
Trump last spoke at the arena for a rally on October 9th.
He's looking to court more voters in Pennsylvania, especially those in the Latino community, with Reading having a majority Hispanic population.
Some drove from out of state to attend the event.
"He wasn't gonna come to Oklahoma. He didn't need to. And so, it just worked out where we're in the same area, so we drove straight here this morning," Carter said.
