WEST READING, Pa. - Berks County-based Tower Health has announced staffing changes at two of its hospitals.

Tower Health is eliminating certain jobs in the nursing units at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia and Pottstown Hospital in Montgomery County.

Officials said they will eliminate 33 jobs at Chestnut Hill and 32 jobs at Pottstown. Tower also said it is creating new jobs at both hospitals, and some of the employees whose jobs are cut will be offered new positions.

The company said any employee who does not get a position will be provided severance.

Tower Health said it is working closely with affected employees, their union representatives and nursing leadership.
