Taco Bell scholarship winner

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, Pa. -- An Allentown native has won the grand prize of $25,000 - the highest amount awarded - in Taco Bell Foundation's Live Más scholarship.

Taco Bell General Manager Lauren Foose, 23 of Allentown, is one of only 11 students nationwide to win a $25,000 scholarship.

She was chosen out of 11,000 students who applied to the program to pursue her passion of business and entrepreneurship.

Lauren started as a crew member when she was 18 years old. She was a full time college student, working two jobs, and living out of her car, reports say.

In Lauren's application video, she explains that she eventually dropped out of college to become a restaurant General Manager at Taco Bell, and decided to apply for a Live Más scholarship to show her employees that it is never too late to continue your education or follow your dreams.

Lauren aims to return to school to finish her dual degree in Psychology and Business and further her career at Taco Bell.

Lauren is the General Manager of the Northampton St. Taco Bell in Easton.
