ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A popular winter attraction in Allentown is ending earlier than scheduled.

"Lights in the Parkway" will close for the season on Christmas Eve, December 24.

Officials say a surge in weekend attendance has become more than the staff can handle. So far, more than 15,000 vehicles have entered the display.

"Lights in the Parkway" opened last month on Thanksgiving and stayed open seven days a week instead of the usual five because of the anticipated higher turnout.
