WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. | It used to be that tryptophan made you sleepy, but this year shoppers are shaking it off for the deals.

People packed the Lehigh Valley Mall, which opened at 5 p.m. Thanksgiving day, looking for the best deals for the holiday. 

WFMZ's Jaccii Farris caught up with a few shoppers during their outing. 

The mall was open until 1 a.m. Thursday, and then reopens at 7 a.m. Friday.Â
