ANIZDA amends its financing guidelines


ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The City Center Investment Corporation is proposing changes to its plans for new office space in Allentown.

The developer now wants to develop approximately 200,000 to 300,000 square feet of office space on 11 to 16 floors on 702 Hamilton Street, according to the agenda for this Wednesday's Allentown Neighborhood Improvement Zone Development Authority meeting.

The project would be called 1 Center Square, according to a proposed resolution change on the agenda. The change to the resolution, if approved, would modify the developer's original plans.

The developer had originally planned to develop approximately 350,000 square feet of office space, together with the proposed inclusion of an approximately 100,000 square foot accessory structure.

ANIZDA manages the Neighborhood Improvement Zone, a special taxing district intended to encourage development and revitalization in center city Allentown.
