Lehigh County Coroner seal

NEW TRIPOLI, Pa. - A 40-year-old Lehigh County man who hit a deer while riding his motorcycle in late June died from his injuries Thursday morning.

Nicholas DeLong, of Lynn Township, died at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest early Thursday, according to the county coroner's office. Delong was riding his motorcycle on June 26 around 1:20 a.m. in front of the 7100 block of Lentz Road in Lynn Township.

The cause of death is blunt force trauma due to the crash. The coroner's office ruled the death an accident. 

The coroner's office and state police are investigating the incident.
