ALLENTOWN, Pa. - One person is dead after a shooting in Allentown Thursday night, the Lehigh County coroner's office said.

Allentown and Bethlehem officers swarmed a strip mall in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue near the Bethlehem city border around 8:30 p.m.

Police closed off the street and parking lot with crime scene tape.

Authorities confirmed it was a shooting investigation, but said they are not looking for a shooter and the public is not at risk, said Allentown Police Chief Glenn Granitz.

One person was killed, the coroner's office said.

Authorities did not release other details about what happened.
