COOPERSBURG, Pa. - The family of a fallen Navy Seal has been in the Lehigh Valley this week sharing his story and working to help others.

Cindy Dietz Marsh's son Danny was a Navy Seal. He was killed in 2005 while on a mission with three other Seals to take out a key Taliban leader in Afghanistan.

Hollywood's Lone Survivor retold the story of the four men being surrounded by the Taliban after their mission was compromised. Only one Seal survived. 16 Special Forces members on a rescue helicopter were also killed after it was shot down by an RPG.

Dietz is being trained at Tails of Valor in Bucks County. The organization trains dogs, names them after fallen soldiers and pairs them with veterans.

Over the weekend Cindy met the veteran Dietz will be paired with at the Phantoms Hockey game where she also dropped the puck.

It's been a big week for Cindy, in from Texas. It was her first trip to the Lehigh Valley because of Tails of Valor.

She also got to try a beer named after Danny, Chocolate Cherry Smash, inspired by his favorite candy. The beer will be featured at Sage Alley Brewery in Coopersburg Sunday.

The party at Sage Alley is open to the public. Dietz will be there.

And it will help raise money for Tails of Valor and the Danny Dietz Memorial Fund, which supports scholarships for students at his high school.

The event starts at 2 p.m.
