Coopersburg house fire

COOPERSBURG, Pa. - Fire ripped through a home in Lehigh County Wednesday morning.

It broke out just after 11 a.m. in the unit block of North Second Street in Coopersburg, according to emergency dispatchers.

Arriving crews saw flames already coming out of the house's front windows, so they fought the flames from outside of the house. Other crews came and began fighting the fire in the living room, according to the Coopersburg fire chief.

Firefighters were still on scene putting out hot spots Wednesday afternoon.

Crews took the homeowner to a local hospital for treatment.

The home appears to be a total loss. The fire does not appear suspicious.
