Bethlehem unveiling new, high-tech parking meters

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - In the spirit of spreading holiday cheer, there will be free two-hour parking in downtown Bethlehem on Saturdays during the holiday season.

It starts this weekend and goes until the Saturday before Christmas Day.

Green bags will cover 278 meters around Bethlehem's Main Street and the SouthSide Arts District.

Bethlehem will celebrate its 278th birthday on Christmas Eve this year.

The city just asks that you be mindful and move your car after two hours, so others can have a chance to shop and dine in the Christmas City.

Lehigh Valley Health Network is sponsoring the free parking event.
