EASTON, Pa. - You can smell it for miles around -- bacon, thousands of savory pieces, sliced, grilled, and in some cases, served up in a Bloody Mary.

"You can drink the bacon, eat the bacon, wear the bacon like I am," said Easton resident Stephen Wilson, donned in a bacon costume.

Bacon Fest was back this weekend, attracting thousands of people to downtown Easton.

"Heard so many things about this place, I'm so excited to see all this stuff delicious food," Tina Diniro exclaimed.

Diniro and her family traveled all the way from New York, just to get a taste of the two-day festival.

"All the bacon, me and my mama over here having a good time, got the whole family from New York over here, I LOVE the bacon" Diniro said.

More than 150 vendors turned up for the festival, some of them, mixing up their usual menu to cater to this crowd. Even for those who don't like the crispy outer shell, Bacon Fest, organizers say, has something for everyone to enjoy, including eating and baking contests.

"It's a good atmosphere you walk around here and find out people are out here for the same reason, here to have a good time," Manager Marcy McKinney said.

On the way out, for those who want the memory of the festival to linger a little while longer, just pick up some bacon scented soap.

"Go around smelling like bacon all day!" Wilson said.
